For the stationary subject in Program vs. Auto Mode, I chose to post an image of a lamp and wall art in my apartment. I tried this P vs. A assignment with various things, and didn't notice much difference. The Auto mode might have changed the shutter speed or aperture very slightly, but for the most part I didn't notice any difference. The biggest difference (which is one of the many reasons why I like shooting in Manual Mode) is that in Auto mode, the flash will turn on if the picture is dark. For example, a campfire.

For the experiment of changing the shutter speed in Program mode on a moving subject, I chose to use a family member on a swing. I have played with shutter speed before and am not surprised by the result. A faster shutter speed is able to capture faster subjects, while slower shutter speeds make these moving subjects blurry.

For the experiment of changing the aperture in Program mode, I chose to submit pictures of a park by Lake Almanor. With a larger aperture, you can see the objects in the foreground very clearly, but the lake in the background is overexposed. With a smaller aperture in the second picture, it increased the depth of field so the lake becomes clear (which makes the entire photo darker).
