I really enjoyed this depth of field assignment because the aperture made such a huge difference in the overall focus. I started out with shooting down a long fence. There were some flowers in the foreground and a large plant in the back ground. When I had the aperture set on f5 (which was the lowest I could go) the front was very clear and the back was very blurry but with f22 everything was in fairly good focus. However, when I focused on the back plant with the aperture at f22 the whole photo was very crisp and sharp.
The same thing happened with the two objects situated 6 inches and 10 to 15 feet only it was easier to see. I think it’s interesting that everything is in better focus with f22 when I set the focus to the back object. This was really apparent when the objects were 3 inches and 25ft with f22.
