After receiving my MFA in Photography in 1992 from the San Francisco Art Institute, I established an electronic arts production company (bASE.ARTS), producing and collaborating with internationally recognized artists to produce a number of interactive CD ROM's and diskettes. As the producer, I worked closely with the artists to design unique methods of presenting their work as well as providing alternative forms of distribution. These pioneering CD ROM's and diskettes have been exhibited and distributed in museums throughout the world.

For over ten years I've been working professionally as an IT manager, systems consultant, and media producer in both the private and non-profit sectors as well as with government. There is a considerable amount of crossover between my professional career in information technologies and my work in the arts. In 1995, I was solicited by the San Francisco Art Institute to design and implement a state of the art media lab for an emerging fine arts program in digital media.

In 2001 I made the decision to redirect what was a full time commitment to information technologies toward teaching. I have taught a variety of courses in analogue media and all range of digital media production. Currently, I am a recurrent adjunct at the Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State University.

As an active member of the Bay Area arts community, I have been working with artists and arts institutions to educate, support and mediate the impact of technology upon these organizations. I have an unwavering commitment to traditional media born out of years of experience as a working artist. In addition, I possess an experienced understanding of new technology and it's influence on the state of the arts and art making.
